The Minevi twins open the FAN CUP 2021 tournament in Pazardzhik on Saturday
Former national football players Veselin and Yordan Minevi will be among the officials who will open the second tournament of the FAN CUP 2021 this Saturday. The next stage is in Pazardzhik and the participants will be greeted and welcomed by the mayor of the city Todor Popov, the golden girl from the Olympic ensemble in Rio 2016 Reneta Kamberova – responsible for sports in the municipality and chairman of the association “Pazardzhik sportuva”, from the football legend Krum Kantarev – one of the famous generation brought “Heber” to the elite, by Spas Ivanov – chairman of the Regional Council of the Bulgarian Football Union and others. The opening is scheduled for Saturday at 10.30 am at the “Health Zone” station, where the matches will be played from 11 am. In 2020, Pazardzhik won the title of “European City of Sports”, due to the health crisis, the initiative was continued by ACES EUROPA this year.
The teams from Pazardzhik region and central Bulgaria will embark on a strong battle for the two places that allow participation in the finals in Albena in September. Last weekend the lucky winners of the first stage of the tournament, which took place in Stara Zagora, were the teams of E-Dynamics and Sporting, which reached the last match in the city of Limes and secured participation in the big international final tournament, which is scheduled for mid-September by the sea with the participation of football teams from 10 countries. The champions under Ayazmoto became the players of E-Dynamics who won the final with penalties after a draw in regular time.
After Pazardzhik this weekend, the amateur tournament FAN CUP 2021 will pass with regional competitions successively through Sandanski (May 15-16), Gorna Oryahovitsa (May 22-23), Montana (May 29-30), Sofia (5-6 June) and Varna (June 12-13). The grand final is scheduled for September 13-17 in Albena.
