Local football legends will give the first blow to the first match

Varna hosts this weekend the last stage of the largest mini-football chain in Bulgaria.

The FAN CUP tournament brings together the elite amateur teams from the Northeast, which will broadcast two new winning teams for the grand final in Albena.

The series of mini-football competitions started in April in Stara Zagora, then passed through Pazardzhik, Sandanski, Gorna Oryahovitsa, Montana and Sofia. The finalists in each city ensure their participation in the international final tournament, which is scheduled for mid-September by the sea with the participation of teams from 10 countries. So far, visas for the grand final in Albena have been secured by the teams of: E-Dynamics and Sporting from Stara Zagora, Sturgeon Commerce and Detoni from Pazardzhik, Veterans and El Clásico from Sandanski, Phoenix and Apple from Gorna Oryahovitsa, The Wizards and Water and Sewerage from Montana, Lev Ins and Northwest – AMIGO from the tournament in Sofia.

Now in Varna all the finalists from the qualification phase so far will be joined by two more teams, the applications promise extremely contested matches. The tournament will be opened by local football legends Stefan Bogomilov of the FC Cherno more and Dimitar Trendafilov of FC Spartak, who will kick off the first match of the program. Among the official guests will be the chairman of the Zonal Council of the Bulgarian Football Union Georgi Mirchev and others. The draw and the grand opening are this Saturday at sharp 14.00, half an hour later the matches in the qualifying groups will start, They will continue the same day until 18.30. On Sunday from 9.30 the direct eliminations from the quarterfinals upwards are planned. The final will start at 13.00, immediately after that is the awarding and closing of the tournament.

So far, the following teams have applied for participation: “Albion”, “Beers”, “Tandem Car Service”, “Aliens”, “AFC The Unity”, “Ingolstadt”, “Gray Goose”, “Aria”, “Red Partners”, “Kamchia” “,” Porto-DS “and” Crazy Gang “, and recordings continue. Among the partners of the organizers from the “Association of Leisure Sports” in the implementation of the project under the Erasmus + program of the European Union are the European Football Development Network, the European Federation of Mini-Football, Slovak mini football federation, Italian Association of Referees etc.

After Varna this weekend, the series of amateur tournaments will end with the Grand Final, scheduled for September 13-17 in Albena. Along with the Bulgarian finalists, the best amateur teams of 10 European countries will take part in it – the Netherlands, Italy, Turkey, Slovenia, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, Portugal and others.
