For the first time in the FAN CUP tournament a referee was sent with applause by the players

The teams of "Gray Goose" and "Frontale" became the next two teams that fill the Bulgarian participation in the grand final of the chain of football tournaments FAN CUP in Varna

In the contested final in Varna, the regular time ended without a winner 1: 1, and in the penalties, the representatives of “Gray Goose” were more accurate, and with a total score of 4: 3 grabbed the trophy. This is the second consecutive tournament in which penalty kicks determine the champion. In the bronze dispute, the team of the “Ludata banda” also beat the team of “Porto Diez” with 2: 0 after penalties.

Kristian Krastev from Gray Goose was named the best goalkeeper, Alexander Kraev from Frontale was the most attractive player, Seyhan Arif from Red Partners was awarded for fair play, and Krassimir Nikolov was the most accurate referee – the first to be sent with applause from all participants in the history of the chain. The winners were awarded by Petar Petrov – Deputy Director of the national sports base SPORT PALACE.

Over the weekend, the hosts of SPORT PALACE offered excellent conditions to the players. Among the partners of the organizers from the Association for Sport in the Free Time in the implementation of the project under the Erasmus + program of the European Union are the European Football Development Network, the European Federation of Mini-Football, Municipality of Corlu, Turkey, and many more.

The series of mini-football competitions started in April in Stara Zagora, then passed through Pazardzhik, Sandanski, Gorna Oryahovitsa, Montana, Sofia, and now Varna. The finalists in each city secured participation in the international final tournament, which is scheduled for mid-September by the sea with the participation of teams from 10 countries.

Here are all 14 Bulgarian teams so far with visas for the grand final in Albena: “E-Dynamics” and “Sporting” from Stara Zagora, “Esetra Commerce” and “Detoni” from Pazardzhik, “Veterans” and “El Clásico” from Sandanski, ” Phoenix and Apple from Gorna Oryahovitsa, The Wizards and Water and Sewerage from Montana, Lev Ins and Northwest – AMIGO from Sofia, Red Guess and Frontale from the tournament in Varna.

The Bulgarian qualifiers in the chain of amateur tournaments FAN CUP will end with the last stage in Albena next weekend, where 38 teams will compete for the two coveted places. The grand final is scheduled for September 13-17 in Albena. Along with the 16 Bulgarian finalists, the best amateur teams from 10 European countries will take part in it – the Netherlands, Italy, Turkey, Slovenia, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, Portugal, Czech Republic, Croatia.
